Traps alone don't work if the entry points stay open — our Mount Zion, IL crew seals the building envelope while removing what's already inside. Rodents also gnaw on electrical wiring, which turns a nuisance problem into a genuine fire-safety concern if it goes unaddressed.
Our team is trained in structural exclusion work, not just trap placement — sealing gaps as small as a quarter-inch that mice can squeeze through.
Rodent calls in Mount Zion, IL get same-day or next-day dispatch, especially where droppings or gnaw marks suggest an active population.
No per-trap billing surprises — you get one number covering removal and sealing, quoted after inspection.
We carry snap traps, one-way exclusion doors, thermal cameras for locating nest zones, and sanitation supplies for post-removal cleanup. We also photograph every sealed entry point before and after, giving you documentation of the exclusion work performed.
Norway rats burrow at grade, so we focus on foundation perimeters, deck footings, and crawl space vents.
Roof rats travel via power lines and tree branches into attics — we seal roofline gaps, vents, and eaves specifically.
Mouse control centers on finding every small gap, since a single unsealed opening undoes the whole job.
Rodent droppings and urine-soaked insulation get removed and the space sanitized once trapping is complete.
We install hardware cloth, door sweeps, and vent screens to physically block re-entry after the population is cleared.
Scheduled monitoring and bait station servicing for property managers needing ongoing compliance documentation.
Tell dispatch where you're hearing activity — attic, walls, or kitchen — and whether you've seen droppings or gnaw marks.
A technician arrives with trapping and sealing materials already loaded, ready to inspect and quote in the same visit.
The inspection identifies both the rodent species and every access point, from foundation cracks to roofline gaps.
You get trapping, exclusion, and a documented follow-up — not just traps left behind with no return visit.
We'd tried store-bought traps for months. The technician found the actual gap under our deck ledger board in twenty minutes.

Coverage across Mount Zion and the surrounding Mount Zion, IL area includes priority routing for properties bordering fields, woodlots, or older housing stock. Properties in Mount Zion near open fields or construction sites tend to see rodent pressure spike seasonally, so we plan technician routes with that pattern in mind.
Rat droppings are roughly the size of a grain of rice or larger; mouse droppings are smaller and more pointed. Noise timing and gnaw-mark size also differ.
Exclusion is the permanent fix — trapping without sealing just clears the current population while leaving the door open for the next one.
Dry sweeping droppings can release airborne particles; it's safer to let the crew handle cleanup with the right protective equipment.
A typical job is a single day of work plus a short follow-up window to verify the population is gone.
Snap traps and sealing come first; bait stations are reserved for specific situations like commercial perimeter control.
Pet food left out, compost piles, and gaps around utility lines are frequent culprits we flag during inspection. We often recommend homeowners do a seasonal walk-around of the foundation, since new gaps can open up after freeze-thaw cycles.
A technician who traps and seals in one visit beats a cycle of traps that never quite finish the job.
